12th International Herbage Seed Group Conference Tasmania, Australia
TSIG is proud to be hosting the 12th International Herbage Seed Group (IHSG) Conference 2025 in November, 2025, in Launceston, Tasmania.
The IHSG was created to encourage cooperation and communication between international scientists involved in the production of forage grass (ryegrass, fescue, bromegrass etc.) and turf seed, and forage legume seed (mainly clover and lucerne).
The conference is a chance to share and present the research work carried out on forage crops and turf for seed production, as the problems encountered in seed production are common to the various producing countries, including presentations from world-leading researchers and visits to Tasmanian farms and seed production facilities.
Past conference topics have included plant protection (insects, weeds, diseases), agronomy (crop establishment techniques, fertilisation, harvesting etc.), variety creation, quality of harvested seeds and associated technologies.
